The presentation further added that 49% increased competitive pressure and 42% in the new standards in regulatory and compliance are the driving factors of transformation. The company also stated that in today’s enterprise environment, a Disaster Recovery plan is not a luxury- it is an integral part of the Business Continuity Strategy.
In planning for disaster recovery, the organization must consider the costs and the complexity of bringing a whole stack of its critical applications back online. If not done properly in the correct order, or if mistakes are made during recovery due to lack of proper testing or documentation of the process, small outages could become true disasters.
